Guess what? I'm finally closing on the house! After a dramatic, soap-opra quality problem with deeds and titles on Friday, we've moved forward to close tomorrow morning! Looks like I'll have to take a vacation day to do it, but if all goes well, I'll be a home owner by noon on the 19th of June, 2002! What a headache. I can't believe how much there was to learn in this whole process. The system architecture is mind-boggling at times, and communication isn't always real-time and dependable. I do think that any first time home buyer should be given the opportunity to take a night class to at least be acquainted with the terminology of home purchasing. It's truely a nightmare. I had the fortune to be working with some intelligent, honest, and responsive people. They made this whole thing bearable. Now that the housing situation is all but resolved, I'm certain I'll be less scatterbrained at work. ;-) This is a good thing, because I need to make some quick progress on the Workshop Manager project. Anyway, that's a completely separate topic that'll have me ranting for a good half hour. Tchuss! ^chewie
