It's official; I'm a homeowner. I have joined the ranks of the endebted, middle-class computer tech. At least house prices are no where near what they are in Silicon Valley; I'd hate to live in California anyway. Instead, my fiancee and I are living comfortably near Midway in St Paul, about a mile or two from Como Park. We met a few of our neighbors last night when we started moving in. Very nice people! I'm going enjoy living there very much. Frank and Beth are going to host a BBQ on Sunday that'll we'll probably attend. Today, I'll probably work on weeding the house. Yes, I did say weeding the house. There are tons of little trees and weeds right up next to the foundation that need to be pulled out. I also need to calk between the foundation and the poured concrete walkway along the West side of the house to prevent water from channeling in. I didn't notice any water problems in the basement, but the floor was a little clamy yesterday. There is a high humidity in the air, but I think a dehumidifier will help out greatly. The appliances will be on the way this weekend, I think. We had to purchase all new appliances, but we were able to keep it all under $2000. With over a year to pay it off at no interest, it's quite a deal. Anyway, time to get back to work. ^chewie
