Wow. I just got through another stack of emails from my multiple accounts and have come to the conclusion, again, that I need to use a more effective strategy for managing my email. I simply receive too much, and my email address is plastered all over the Net. This doesn't help to cut down on the SPAM I receive. Of course, I could do something about it. The Tagged Message Deilvery Agent (TMDA), a python based delivery agent, uses a bit more draconic, but far more effective method for filtering out unwanted email than other methods. SpamAssassin is only so effective, and although bogofilter works exceedingly well, I haven't spent the time to backport it to Debian 3.0 (Woody). I have seen a back port listed on apt-get.org, but haven't found the time to try it out. Regardless, something must be done soon. I'm wasting far too much time out of my day looking at emails. On to other things. The wedding is fast approaching, and tension is a bit high. The devil is in the details, and the details are wearing us thin. We didn't get to sleep until after 01:30 last night, and I tossed and turned for about an hour after that. Things we have left to do include sending out maps to everyone, sending "out of town-er" care packages with lodging info, planning and having the bachelor and bachelorette parties, planning the canoe trip to the BWCA, and arranging to have our house watched and cat cared for. The list goes on. Work is busy, too, it seems. People coming back from the long weekend after the end of finals who want to "clean up" their computers. Now's the time when we get lots of requests to help set up new computers and configure software. I've got two APPRO servers to retrofit with new hardware, reinstall, and configure. Following that, we'll have file storage to migrate, people to support (don't we always?), and .... Yeah, lots to do. It's easy to loose track of things in an environment like this. Let's just hope my disparate lists help out enough to keep me sane.
