Chad's Study

Welcome to the more expressive side of my imagination. Like anyone, I love literature. I love listening to it, reading it, watching it, and writing it myself. Stories and poetry are vehicles into our greatest dreams and our worst fears. Being able to appreciate literature is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. I have many loves in my life, and this is one of them.

Celtic Studies Group
True to my own drive to devour literature, I'm currently participating in a Celtic Literature study group called "The Celtic Studies Group" (how original *grin*). It is an email-list group that focuses on one or two books at a time, and discusses these books over email and IRC. (More detail and links to come soon.)

Another way I am involved with literature, aside from reading fantasy fiction novels by the dozen, is by participating in a newsgroup called "alt.dragons-inn". This newsgroup is a common place for people to cooperatively create fantasy adventures through newsgroup and email correspondance. A website (http://www.dragons-inn.org) provides more detail about the world and the people that live in it.

The threads I'm currently involved with are listed below.

A Trip to Dragon's Isle

The "Trip to Dragons' Isle" started a few years ago. In it a group of adventurers had heard rumor of riches to be found on the Isle of Dragons, or otherwise known as "Dragons' Isle." Truthfully, the adventure had a fast start and then died down to a screeching halt as its writers took pause to deal with real life situations. Now, I happily announce the rebirth of the series. We have recently made changes and additions to the last two scenes of the series: 16 and 17. Scene 17 can be viewed in ASCII text format here.

Watch for further updates and some more comprehensive detail on the series writers and characters.

Paths

A new thread is budding at ADI. We have yet a title for it, but I predict that one will come along soon. This section will also likely bud into a web page of its own as material and author contribution increase. Currently, there are a few posts available for your purusal. Here's a link you can use to browse them. I'll have a more comprehensive web page index constructed at a later date. Keep your eyes open for additions and improvements.
